The Montessori People nursery in Stockton-on-Tees has received a perfect 10 out of 10 score on daynurseries.co.uk – the nursery industry’s equivalent to the Trip Advisor ratings platform.
The independent day nursery based at Tedder Avenue in Thornaby is the only nursery in Stockton-on-Tees to receive the coveted 10 out 10 score. It has also been ranked in the 2025 ‘Top 20 Day Nurseries in the North East’, coming fourth in the region. The annual daynurseries.co.uk Top 20 Nursery Awards recognise 20 of the top-rated nurseries in each region of the UK based on reviews from parents and individuals responsible for a child.
The poll is carried out every year by daynurseries.co.uk – the industry’s ‘go to’ website for parents. Scores are based on average ratings and reviews and testimonials by parents and carers. One parent described The Montessori People as “An absolutely amazing nursery where my children have flourished”, while a grandparent said “This is my grandson’s happy place. The staff are outstanding and always put the children’s welfare at the forefront of their care.”
